2 ADDITIONAL GUIDED TOURS (Williamrkinne and Rockbreaker)
Getting these out a little late. Boy have I had issues with this software, today.
I've got 8
SGTs right now, but will have more during the next couple of days (got some work to do on the bike, tomorrow). There are between 1 and 4 maps per SGT. They are set up as routes and are for a person with a GPS to key in the coords
. If you don't have a GPS, matching the maps up with your own maps will be best. Although, normally there is at least 1 rider in the group with a GPS.
This software (DeLorme) is suppose to let me download the route points directly to my GPS. Then I would convert it to work with other devices (Magellin, etc.). Unfortunately, the software is giving an error before it fully downloads. Got to call DeLorme tomorrow and see whats going on.
Anyway, check out what I have so far. As for the N. Ga. Ride, the software is missing a few of the roads I wanted you to take, so we'll just have to do it the old fashion way.....USE A MAP
You guys can borrow mine....
If you are interested in leading a ride, please PM me with your info. Being a guide is very fun, so get off your back side and show these guys and gals what you know.......

SUMMARY OF TOURS
Hooligan Ride - This ride is designed for those riders looking for the coolest, yet ugliest terrain you care to tackle with your KLR. The route is consistently throwing out 3.5 and 4.0's. You will benefit with lower sprocket gearing and knobbies! THIS IS THE MOST CHALLEGING HOOLIGAN RIDE, TO DATE!
Cherokee Run - I have grouped some of my favorite roads, paved and dirt, to offer one of the most scenic and fun routes of the weekend. This ride is 2-up friendly, but don't let that stop the aggressive riders! It also happens to be my fastest route, if you so please.
Dead-End Tour - During my scouting over the years, I've come across some excellent views, water crossings, trails, etc., just to come to a dead end. This tour is in honor of these 'turn-arounds'. So, you will definitely want to stick around and check out this agressive, fun ride.
Sizzle-Slab Run - For those of you looking for a ride that consists of scenery, twisty pavement, and the pleasure of riding through the North Ga Mts., then look no further! This ride will consist of many well known roads in the Southeast world of motorcycling (180, 60, 68, etc.). So, whether you are riding a streetbike or you just happen to love sticking to the pavement, you will be writing home to your momma about this one. (Optional DS ride on the way back).....
- Looking for 'Scenic Speed'? Well, you have found it. Along the 210-220 miles of gravel FS and the local wicked twisty pavement, you will have some excellent photo opps! All roads will be "fine" with 17 inch tires, though. The pace on the gravel will be scenic, the pace on the pavement will be uh, a bit higher..... Reminise Run - This ride isn't what you think..... This is a repeat of TDT-II's Hooligan Ride. Last year this route became infamous, and so it is brought back to you for another year. Sure, it may have been knocked down a peg by this year's 'Hooligan Ride', but please don't take this ride lightly: it's still a whopper of a fun/aggressive ride! This year it will be led by rockbreaker, member of last year's Hooligan Ride posse.
Bootleg Boogie - I don't believe HotRodHill (Williamrkinne) had getting liquored up and going to the dance club on his mind when he designed this ride. This route is diffinitely for those looking for a nice historic ride with several Big views, fun FS roads, and then a trip along the Cherohala Skyway and the Dragon. And riding these roads during the week, at that!
Tailored Tour - No.... this is not a tour to the department store, unless that's were you want to go. William is going to tailor this ride to your liking. His sole purpose for this Saturday is to take you to whatever place you have heard about and/or always wanted to go see. What a guy......
Dollar Menu Tour - Tricked you, again! McDonalds is not on the menu for this ride, because nobody can hold a candle to the food you get for these prices.... http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/g...os/ride139.jpg. This tour will take you on the historic and sweet Joe Brown Hwy, stop for an excellent lunch in Andrews, across the mountain on the 'Gravel Dragon', before cruising back to camp along the Skyway. Literally the best 'bang for the buck' ride we got....
Early Bird Run - It's a secret.
Others to come........
Self-guided, 'Grab a Few Friends' tours: At the moment, set up only for keying in the coords. into your GPS or just printing off the map. Text in Yellow shows what order the points are in.
Flat Track Run - For those of you that enjoys the twistys, pavement and dirt, this ride is for you. The fun factor is so high, you'll be high-fiving everyone when you finally decide to stop. - 1.5
DS Sightseeing Tour - If you have alway wanted to check out some of the big names of touring in the south, check out these: Cades Cove, Deals Gap, Parson's Branch, Cherohala Skyway, & Foothills Parkway - 1.5
Scenic Overlook Tour - I've put together some great overlooks for you on this ride. Personally, I've never seen them all in a single day, so, you'll be one of the elite. - 2.0
Cherohala DS Ride - This is a very popular ride for us locals. You get 1/2 pavement, 1/2 dirt across/thru the beautiful mtns. between Tellico Plains and Robbinsville - 1.5
Historic Gap Tour - On this tour, you will be crossing over 3 major historic gaps: Unicoi, Tatham, and Stratton. Great ride and a killer place to eat... - 1.5 http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/g...os/ride139.jpg
Local Living Ride - Wanna see some cool local spots and roads. Well, this is a ride that does just that and where you're never more than 20 minutes from camp. - 1.5
Hiwassee Haven Run - This ride consists of several of my favorite roads/trails in the Hiwassee area. Good for riders wanting to ease up the terrain rating scale. - 3
Cuhutta Wilderness Run - This is one of the first routes I ever took when I moved to this area. These are some great FS roads, with a very nice suprise awaiting you at Patterson's Gap. Can you say, 'Yee Ha'? - 2.5
Note: Bald River Falls
is listed on just a few of these rides, but due to it's location and high scenic factor, it can be added into just about any Ride. (N35 19 27.44, W84 10 37.29) Also, FS61 (not on my software, but around N35 19 35.56, W84 2 27.04) will take you to Whigg Meadow
