Sequatchie Valley Days IV Rally!! (June 5-7)

Date being changed to June 5-7, from the week before.

STRA (http://stratrials.com/) is having their Spring Splash on May 30-31, so we moved the date. I think it would be cool to ride Friday and Saturday, then watch the competition on Sunday.......but I wasn't for sure if many of you guys would be interested. I talked with most of the guys that have made this rally the last couple of years and they could make the new dates easier......so......it's officially changed. But if you are close, go check out some cool trials riding too!

Who: We ride DS/Adventure bikes, but all are welcome!
What: Sequatchie Valley Days
Where: Trials Training Center http://trialstrainingcenter.com
When: June 5-7
Why: Because it's there..............

TTC has some nice cabins that most can fit 3 people! Also, plenty of tent camping is available.....along with hookups for RVs.

If you own a trials bike, definitely be sure and bring it.......... But, for those who prefer to stick with dual-sporting, there is everything from mild to wild within just a few miles of the campground. Food/gas is nearby! Also, the whole family can enjoy what the Chattanooga area has in store, so the kitchen pass may be easier to get than you think........

Look forward to seeing ya there!!!!!

I went ahead and reserved the Large 5 person cabin.......but there are plenty of the Smaller 3 person cabins available. We will make it work out that cabins can be shared.

Keep Loving Rides!

SVD '15 proved to be another great time to get together with riding buds and enjoy what the TAG area has to offer! Thanks to Trials Training Center for letting us use their facilities as Home Base.....and also to everyone that came out to ride, shoot the bull, and EAT! I think I put on 5 pounds in just 3 days....so back on the low calories until Blue Ridge Run!!! Most everyone showed up.......but we did a handful of 'backouts'.....you know who you are. In all, we had 8 KLRs, 2 VStroms, and 1 Super Tenere, and 1 XR650L!

Well.....let's get this thing started!

Friday

I take the super slab most of the way in, but got off to ride the finished bridge for Hwy 41/64! I got to camp around 9:30 am to find Jerry Atrick, Mark, Longleke, Josh, KentuckyKLR, and onemancoyote ready to hit some DIRT! After taking in a short ride along the Brow Trail, we take the W-road (pavement switchbacks) to Merv's for some good grub. They are known for their burgers, but their Melt is excellent as well! After lunch, we spent the rest of the day having loads of fun in Prentice Cooper WMA! A pizza in Jasper topped off the evening, along with some lies and exaggerations being told on the cabin's porch!

Saturday

We woke up to another fine rainless day! After some mending of the bikes, we headed off and got some breakfast at the Snack Shack in Jasper........they make a very good breakfast! Today, we spent our day going up and down the twisty roads leading in and out of the Valley. We got to visit Fall Creek Falls, which is known to have the single tallest uninterrupted drop of any fall this side of the Mississippi River. We had some great BBQ at the Pig-N-Catch, recommended by our local rider, onemancoyote (Corey)! Just Josh and I rode the dirt section up to a cool rock overlook. Josh was just in for the day, so he and I rode the Upper East Valley Road before me pointing him in the direction back home. I headed on to meet back up with the rest at the Hangliding/Pargliding launch! Afterwards, a few of us hit Las Magaritas in Jasper for some more great food!

I was using my camera and phone and so my pics are out of order a bit.............
