Tour de Tellico XI (May 19-21).......oh yeah!

Well......TDT is heading into it's double digits with gusto! Number 11 is the beginning of a new decade of riding! If you have never been to Tour de Tellico, make your way this year to CMTC for some great camping and ride everything that the area has to offer! For the last 3 years, I haven't even gotten to go over the Cherohala Skyway, because there is so much to ride on this side of the mountains!

Last year it was great to get to spend quality time with DirtRoadPassion's family, just a few months after he lost his battle with cancer.

This year, we have another celebration of life..........but it is a big birthday we are celebrating! Drum roll please..........our very own, Jerry Atrick will be turning 70 on the TDT weekend! It is going to be great to spend time with him on such a momentous occasion!

TellicoTim and I hope to see you guys there!

What: Tour de Tellico XI
Where: Cherohala Mountain Trails Campground http://www.cmtrails.com/
When: May 19-21 (Early bird - 19th-Thurs)

SATURDAY

We started the day off with a group pic (some came in that night).........with our birthday boy up front and center! Dave had to get home to a sick wife, so after my Cherokee Classic Run throughout the day, that evening, we celebrated Dave's birthday with Wayne as a Stand In.

SUNDAY

Most people had to head to the house this morning, but a few of us were able to take a BEUATIFUL ride over the mountain to eat lunch at Thunder Mountain! Ken, Melissa, and their youngest daughter, Anna are a great bunch.......and their Thunder Dog is the BOMB!! Also, a stop at Tellico Plains' museum on the way back to camp topped off a great weekend!!!

Well..........the first Tour de Tellico was in 2006......and we just finished the 2016 one! Looking forward to riding in 2026 with the bunches of you guys!! It was also great telling stories about our friend, DirtRoadPassion, that we lost last year.

Hope to see you guys at our next rally, less than 3 weeks away, at Sequatchie Valley Days!

I wanted to let you guys know that our pal Brett 'Beer' Barker has been having some infection in the cuts he received from his fall on Saturday. Roland (Ro Ro) gave me the news this afternoon that Brett has been going every day since Sunday to the hospital. If you would, please be thinking of him when he goes to get a really detailed cleaning on his cuts tomorrow.

Far left......

Rocks on FS 66 caused the cuts.....
