Post Tour de Apalachicola IV - Official Invite

Howdy, guys and gals!

Here's the basic info....
This web addy has the essential info, and the link to the Camp website with directions for those who haven't been here before.

The Fourth Annual Tour de Apalachicola Dual Sport Meet is on!
Basically, we have many cabins available, that will sleep ten or more people each.
We also have plenty of room for tents. Three bath houses available, and we will have the bike wrenching in the old dining hall room for many bikes out of the weather!
Cost is $12 per head per night, which includes breakfast each morning before the rides.
The big Saturday night dinner has yet to be determined as to what form it will take, but will be $10 per person who wants to partake. It will be held in the new dining hall, which has a nice big fireplace and kitchen.
We have considered having our BBQ Meister, John Watson from last year do a reprise of his excellent meat mastery, or maybe a "Brats with all the fixin's" type of meal?

We have a lot of good local restaurants and eateries, with great seafood and burgers, for other meals. "Savannah's Country Buffet" close to camp is a favorite.

We seem to have lost much of our superb single-track trails to the bicyclers - but I'm sure the Hooligans can still find their way to Tate's Hell, Goose Pasture and other good off-road areas. We will have some good highway tours and Forest Road tours lined up.

It looks like a couple folks are wanting to bring in RV/TT campers, but we really have very limited space for such, and NO hook-ups - this is a YMCA kid's camp, after all.
I'm going to check on local RV campgrounds this weekend, to see what is available in the area. Remember, our road is twisty and we have rather low-hanging trees.

Dress and bring sleeping bags for a coolish Florida winter - expect temps in the low thirties, maybe high twenties at night. Daytime usually gets warm enough that trail riders will come out of heavy jackets quickly!

We have several bike shops in town, but they are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

I do have a tire stand with MC adapter and air compressor/air tools available at my place, if needed. Bring your own tires & tubes.

Go ahead and sign on here, and E-mail me if you need to - I'm keeping a list of Attendees.

Hondo, could you sticky this? Thanks!

Sadly, our Cajun buddy JT, who made the Gumbo the first year, left the heady world of the KLR for the seemier side of things..... Beemers.
