2019 KLR Rally Calendar

Yep.........the Southeast is a wonderful place to ride! It's another year with a bunch of rides that you can join in! We are keeping most of the rides from last year, on the same weekends. If you are looking for some rides to join in on.......and like numbers somewhere between 5-25.......we might be the group for you. I have met a bunch a great folks over the years at these gatherings! Not only are the rides great, but the time hanging out with friends is very memorable! Hope to see you at a few!

I've done Roads and Trails and BRR; hoping to get a few more events in this year.

When I did Roads and Trails my seat had a sheet of ice on it each morning and it snowed. Maybe I'll start with Valley in the Sky this year.

Hey, still looking forward to the rally schedule. In the meantime I've been hitting a local Off Road park. Lot's of four wheelers and dirt bikes of course. Only one adventure rider on a KLR (me). Got a lot of "what's that thing doing here looks! Great practice though, diverse terrain, sand, mud, trees and trails and some serious mud. Managed to gum up the bike pretty well. took a pressure washer to my bike to get it clean. Anyway, if you want serious adventure riding compressed into a short trip this I a good way to go.

I'm glad that we don't see mud on the RH side panel, radiator shroud, fuel tank & hand guard. No crash.

That slippery/stickey stuff is best to be avoided. It can & will put the tall, top heavy KLR flat down on its side so fast at times that one can't even get their foot off the footrest! And I've been riding since 1970.

The front tire turns into more of a Very Short ski, with No Centrifical Stability.
And if you survive that, it will plug up the rear tire, swingarm, rear fender so badly that people have burned-up their clutch plates trying to force the rear tire to continue turning thru it.
