Way South Florida

I'm in homestead. Is there any people this far south that ride and have some trail ideas?

When I rode down there a few years ago I met a guy near Everglade City that offered to show me some trails near there. I didn't have time then, but I'm sure there is some good places near there.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

I noticed the post is pretty old and I'm from Broward. Have you found any good trails or places over the past several months? I'm looking to get a KLR in the next week or two and am too looking for some hot spots.

Thanks!
Justin

Justin,
I've ridden loop road and the wagon wheel off of Tamiami trail. Other than that I have not done much trail riding.

Justin417,
I do like the KLR. The drawback that it has is the lack of higher than normal (80-85mph) highway speeds. I have put a 16t front sprocket on it to drop the rpm but I have not been on a long ride yet. It still works good off road with that sprocket. I think the KLR is a great all around bike and I use it for commuting on a daily basis.

At least 2 maybe even 3 or more KLR's will be in Clewiston for lunch around noon, 11 December, 2010 at the above location.
Stop in, chit chat, maybe set something up for a future ride.
