santa barbara area riders

I'm interested in riding the camino cielo rd. from hwy 154 south as far as you can. I'm told the vista's are great when the weather is clear like it's been. Anyone else want to join me. In the near future I will also be riding north from hwy 154.

That sounds interesting. When are you going? Is that a dirt road?

I'm told ride to the locked gate, mostly pavement. Then ride 13 miles of motorcycles only graded dirt to another locked gate which is the turn around point. Something like 25 miles each way riding mostly mountain ridges over looking the ocean from Santa Barbara down thru Carpinteria. I'm thinking Saturday.

Shoot! I'm taking the kids out to Montana de Oro Saturday for a hike and to see if we can see any migrating whales.

R U turning left at the shooting range on east Camino Cielo. They is a gate U can go around there that take u down pass Rancho Oso Campground and cross the creek to red rock rd which brings U out at Palisides.I did that with a group on new year day. It was nice for my first ride on my KLR.

I've been on that trail many years ago when you could drive a vehicle on it. I'm going past it. I'm told you drive to the end of the vehicle road and you have the option of two trails. I'm looking for the vistas from the ridge trail that heads down the coast. The other option looks like it heads down towards Jamieson Lk. ?
