September 18-20 Based from the Gunsite campground in Paulden AZ, north of Prescott. Good times had by all. BBQ on Friday and Saturday nights. Good riding and even better company. Usually have somewhere around 20 riders. All ADV style bikes welcome but ride only advertised on KLR pages.
OK, here's the thing. My subscription is still valid over at .NET until the end of the month.
Does anyone have a good idea on the wording I could post to direct the interested riders to this site?

But you might say something like "there are other klrforum s out there" and it might stay up for a while.
If were to say "there is a 40 dollar deal of a lifetime at klrforum", I'm sure you would get a 4 page PM from the admin suggesting you made a grievous error.
Well I was hoping some of the Riff/Raff wouldn't hear about the change in forums but I see that Dan Diego is already here. Oh well, we'll just have to muddle through. I haven't been on this ride since the last Spring gathering.
Open a second window. Start the thread.
Go back to 1st window. Left click & High-lite, Right click & copy text from 1st thread. Back to 2nd thread & Paste it. I think, I'm still learning.
I'm just gonna' try to copy instead of quote your above posting.
"I just realized that I posted this in the SW page. Is there a way to cross post in the "upcoming rides" page?" I had to add the " marks. Modify & add more info as needed.
Okay so it's really the last three days of summer but for all intents and purposes, it' next fall. Late enough to enjoy some good riding and a bit of time around the campfire.

New guy here. Just getting up top speed on this forum. Like many of you I am also a transplant from that "other site" so I'm glad I stumbled onto this ride announcement.
I had a great time in 2019 and will plan to swing by in 2020.
I love driving back to NAZ from KY with my wife. The drive really lets me disconnect from work. I lived in FLG for 7 years and for whatever reason, no matter where else I live it really feels like home.
This thread has me thinking.
I’m wondering if I could park my truck at a storage facility and then do this ride with my wife. Sounds like an amazing experience. Do you guys stay mostly on national forest roads?
Are you still interested? you have plenty of places to park the truck. My house for example. Or at the campground or other safe places I can turn you on to. It's a hoot.
That plan would work. Jon usually offers a couple different routes: Advanced and a bit easier.
I’ve attended 5 out of 7 (I think) of his rides and have documented them on my blog. Just search “Arizona” and you’ll get an idea of the terrain. Highly recommended!
Good Grief, it's only February and I already have three different motorbike events slated for September. I am so glad that I am not camphosting this summer. Camphosting is fun but I am looking forward to being at some rides that I have not been able to do for a while.
Mikey
Hope you do come out for the event. The rides are always great and you will definitely see some of the more remote area sites. Plus I don't believe I have ever seen anyone go hungry after one of Jon's cookouts.

This year's ride will be mostly Pines and Mines up in the Bradshaw Mountains. Several of them are pretty obscure. Two up should be doable for most of it, depending on what the monsoon season brings us this year. It'll be a nice time for desert dwellers to cool off. As usual, all bikes are welcome, as long as they're street legal. Bikes should be road and moderate off road capable. Riders without basic gear will be turned away. I keep swearing that I'll get a GPS in order to provide tracks, but just can't seem to do it. Friday night will be burgers and dogs or chili or something easy and quick, as riders arrive. Saturday evening BBQ/ fireside BS sessions will be worth the trip, by them selves. Always a great time with great people.
The wife and I are talking about upcoming trips and plans for the summer, and my nieces wedding comes up.
She asks me how many places I want to see in Washington DC when we're there. Still trying to figure out how long we're going to stay there that week..........
(light bulb moment)
Me- "Uh, honey? What day is the wedding?"
Her- "September 19th. Why? Did you forget?"
:surprise:
Me- "Are we sure the weddings still on?"
Her- "Whhhyyyyyyy?"
Me- "Uh, that's the ride. In Arizona.........the one I missed last year."
Her- "Well, guess you're missing this year too."
(strange silence for a time)
Her- "So you think you're going to miss your nieces wedding?"
Me-
It is with great sadness and regret that I must cancel my reservations for the ride this year.
:brick:
So again, same as last year, I expect a good ride report.
