April

Woodland to Fort Bragg via Mendo Pass...Usal Road south to north...Lost Coast Hwy to 1 through Crescent City, end up in Happy Camp via a secret road, 96 back south..head over to 36 via Titlow Canyon Road/FS Road #1...36 to Red Bluff...Slab home. How does that sound? I'm open to worthy variations... (there are a bunch of cool roads that connect 96 to 3, nice little side loops)

Looking to put a group together for this or something similar. Probably take 3 days.

HERE TO RIDE

either your joking or don't stop for really anything..including gas. i could break it down for you...for example, from f bragg north stoppping in shelter cove, stop at the tide pools on the main lost coast, stop at punta gorda lighthouse/mattole river, stop for a beer at lost coast brewery...on to crescent city...there are many additional worthy stops, but that's close to what I would do (approx 8 hrs day) from crescent city to happy camp and back north via 96/ titlow canyon/fs#1/36/5 home..with side trips to the cal salmon river/cal salmon river goat trail complex....----could easily be a 12 hr day......of course, these days would be tame compared to woodland-fbragg (keeping it off tarmac of course)...

no stops (only gas)...i figure I could do it in 2 10-12 hr days...doable, but would much rather take 3 and enjoy everything that area has to offer.

rant off

Unless you are planning for the last weekend in April, I do believe that I would be interested in tagging along. I can go mid-week or whatever works usally. Days off are Sunday & Monday, but I can probably make anything work. Let me know how the plan shapes up.

Sorry ridgerunner... it appears that i may look 'New' around here.
And in no way did I intend to offend you.

Most of my riding has been with larryboy when he had shorthair.
We've been to DV twice, once to China ranch south of there. another time on an Oregon ride. An IronButt 1000 in SanDiego.(with riding there and back in a weekend) a few other "local" rides. that most of the time a Saturday ride burned 4-500 miles.

So, I guess I wasnt joking. and even at those miles, we did see some stuff.

enjoy your ride..

My bike is rather beat-up now <-- insert "clapped-out" and I'll have to do a refresh before it sees any kind of ride miles.

see ya around town sometime.

hey,

i wasn't offended at all....just saying I didn't think that was possible - and I ride a fairly fast pace. But I stand corrected. Maybe see you out there sometime.
