Yesterday I was riding to town, a 20 mile ride, ran out of gas just before I got to town, turned gas to reserve and made it to the gas station and fueled up, first time ever running out of gas and having to use reserve on my bike. Rode acrossed town and back with no issues and then made it about...

Hey everybody. I’m excited to connect with you all here. I’m Ben. I live in the PNW USA and have been riding for a little over three years. My first and only bike prior to the 2022 KLR I’ll soon be picking up was a 2019 g310gs. I liked my GS. Bought into BMW thinking the brand would be...

So I have a 2022 KLR Adventure that will not turn over. DISCLAIMER: Part of this may be my fault. Purchased new at the dealers here in Bangkok. Drove it to the gas station to fill the tank to the top, and theres where I screwed up. I thought I read 87 octane.... But it was B7 (diesel). Made...

Stupid question, probably stupid move too. I took off the lower fairings. Worried about radiator and anything else. Should I put 'em back on? I don't see "worrisome" movement but the radiator definitely travels back and forth a bit in the wind at freeway speed. Thanks all.

I’ve got an 00’ klr 250d and would like to do some adventure touring on it as it is a capable and light off-reader and can keep up on country highways. Are there good options for panniers out there (preferably hard shell and lockable)? or is that overkill and a soft bag is a must? should i get a...

Hi there! I just bought a 1987 KLR 650 and it has some trouble cold starting. I was aware that many KLR’s can be temper mental when it comes to cold starting but i’d love to be able to get it going without using any throttle. I have tried full choke, half choke etc. i have cleaned the carb, air...

Hey everyone, I'm new here. I just picked up a 1984 KLR600. It has a PWK aftermarket carburetor. I'm having trouble making it run well. Not enough gas/too much air. I'm still playing around with the A/F and the jets and I'm getting closer but I just realized that this isn't the stock carb! The...

I have a 2016 klr 650 with only 1600 miles on it. Last weekend I went and did some hard trail riding with my brother and all was fine. A couple days later I was riding to work and it felt jerky. I had steady throttle but it kept jerking. Then a couple days later I went to ride again but this...

Hi all. Tonight my KLR just died on me while driving down the road and after a struggle to finding a new fuse as the main fuse blew the starter would not engage. I ended up push starting the bike as I had to get it out of that area, but then about 50m up the road the bike completely died on me...

I've been having backfiring since I bought my 2009 KLR over a year ago, and have finally gotten around to pulling the carb. I noticed that the choke plunger (the plastic piece that threads into the carb) is broken, so the rubber seal on the choke cable is doing nothing. My question is, could...

My bearing in the rear wheel of my 2009 KLR 650 broke yesterday, and I need to replace all three of them. I am looking at some bearings that are sealed on both sides. Do I need separate seals as well, or are the seals on the bearings itself sufficient?

As some of you know I am new to KLR's. After a few weeks of ownership I want to change oil. I do some off road, some back and forth to the store, lots of hours on the highway at 5000 rpm's+ 2011 with 20,000 miles. Not to bad of an oil drinker I am thinking Mobil 1, 20w-50 What are your...

I just ran north of Colorado Springs and back to Trinidad, about 400 miles at 75-80mph (5500-5800 rpm's).. I want to put on a 16 tooth but afraid I wont have the power to pull the grades or a headwind. "Most" motorcycles with a carb run a little rich up here. Question for anyone with experience...
