Hello all, sorry to create a post I am sure is well documented, but after reading threads for an hour I almost feel more confused than I began with! Since no two issues are just alike, I am hoping if I provide specific details that a veteran KLR guru can help me pinpoint the issue. I just...

I bought my 1986 KLR250 2 years ago with 5000 miles on it. I found the suspension way too soft and it bottomed out easily. I liked the stock power of the earlier models and really didn’t complain about it so it remains stock. So as customary, I got to work on it to make it mine. I put...

Does anyone out there know if the Gen 3 fork springs are the same as the Gen 2’s? I’d like to replace the stock springs and there isn’t anything specifically for the Gen 3. But plenty of Gen 2 options are available. Thanks all!!

Hi all, Wanting to get that little bit more ground clearance and travel out of the Gen 1 where possible and thought that it would maybe be possible to put a Gen 1 front end and possibly shock/swing arm (both with new springs, etc) onto the Gen 2 for more travel and ground clearance. Is this swap...

Soon Installing the suspension. I heard great things about it , hope this is something I may be able to do on my own. The rear shock is no issue, but the front forks ... will have to try :)

Howdy! Being a very small person (5'3"), I put 2" lowering links on my bike and now my back tire rubs on my exhaust pipe. I plan to lower the front forks before I ride it but haven't yet done so - has anyone else had this rubbing problem, and did lowering the forks alleviate it? Or is there some...

I ride a 2008 & basically live on it. I've been hauling 120 - 150 lbs of gear on the bike, and without realizing it, I totally annihilated the stock suspension. What does everyone ride for heavy-weight, long-distance touring? Thanks...

Just got a 2009 KLR650 yesterday and taking it on the highway it gets quite wobbly at 70mph, so I'm troubleshooting. For tire pressure, what is ideal for street riding? I've got a Kenda Big Block front tire with max psi of 36 and a Heidenau Scout rear tire with max 44psi. I weigh 130lbs. Any...

Hi, Earlier this summer I did some mods to my 04 KLR to accomodate my size and weight. I am 6'5" and weigh in at about 260 lbs so the changes feel much better and allow me to fit better on my ride. The issue is now that the bike feels loose or squirrely on hard dirt corners or when hitting...
