I'm curious to know what, if any, mods he's done to his bike.

But a high mileage rider like that probably doesn't have any time or interest to post on the internet. LOL.

How do we know it's not 72,000. Not trying to be a smartass, but I kinda wondered that on these old style speedos. It's been decades since I've owned an analog one.

Even if it's 72k, not shabby for a Gen 2 already.
That scooter doesn't sit around much.

If he's a daily commuter and rides gentle those
numbers could well be right.

man, if that's true, that's impressive! Someone get ahold of this guy and get him to tell us the secret to making a KLR last that long, not that durability of the KLR is in question!

That is interesting reading. And at least one fairly specific itemized maintenance breakdown with no mention of valve adjustment. Over 50K miles. Maybe someone called it out later. Short attention span. But that would intrigue me (and make me worry less about mine). :t1202:
