Just brought home a new leftover 2015 and put about 80 miles on it today. I see some blue dots all over the exhaust shield plus a 1/4 inch wide 4 inch long blue stain below the water pump on the inside of the skid plate. Hope it is just a loose bolt or two. Will check that after it cools off.
Anyone else have this happen? When I bought my BMW K1600GTL 5 years ago I was on a trip when i noticed the same thing on it. Bike had 2000 miles when I started the trip and ended up at 6300 when i got home. Never had to add any water in all that time so the drip was very minor. Dealer replaced pump under warranty. This leak seams to be a little more then a drip. :SadSigh:

Sounds like a trip to the dealer. Sorry about your luck. Doesn't hurt to check hose connections for tightness.

My new 15 was throwing antifreeze everywhere. I took it back and they said the cap wasn't on correctly. Apparently it had some antifreeze gunk under the cap stopping it from sealing properly. After that it never leaked again. So as I was dipping the bike through the corners, it was coming out and dripping down and blowing back, etc. I initially thought it was coming from the two nipples on the reservoir that connect to black hoses. One person had that issue where the plastic nipples had burs on them from the molding process and it wasn't sealing good to the hoses. When I had my issue, that was the only antifreeze leak I read about on a new bike.

I get that on occasion myself if the bike has been sitting or when the temperature changes. Coolant is very slippery stuff and it has the ability to seep out where other fluids don't. When I ride my bike regularly the seepage goes away. Ride the bike a bit and keep an eye on the coolant level. I've heard that seepage can occur more often if the glycol/water mix is greater than 50%.

Double check your coolant recovery tank cap as well. When I got my 08 the cap was put on crooked and it was weeping coolant out, and then the wind was blowing it around.

Thanks guys, I'm not too concerned about it as it is a short trip (40 Miles one way)if it has to go in and with the bike setting for 18 months at the dealer without any fluids in it till last Friday my first thought was loose cap, hoses or pump mounting bolts. Got busy with family stuff and have not looked at it yet but will in the next day or so. I'll report back here when it is sorted out.

Go over every exposed fastener you can reach.
These single cylinder thumpers shake a bit.
Loctite is REAL popular around here.

When over everything today and I found the overflow jug's cap was loose and had water all around it. Hope this fixed it but will not know till this week end.
