Even though I'm a staunch supporter of KC-Style barbecue, I would have to agree with your assessment of "burnt ends." I don't know who the yahoo was who decided to pass those off as something humans should eat.

Dogs across the area were greatly distressed when those things began staying on plates instead of being dropped on the floor under the table as they should be.

More importantly, some responsible person needs to start making some more appropriate Wossner Piston Upgrade comments so we can get Tom's thread back on track.

I've ridden it a few times, but no really long rides.

It would be good to find the time to ride up Sacramento way and visit with Tim again. Haven't seen him since the ill-fated February trip.

It runs well and starts remarkably easy for having a bit more compression and no KACR.

As yet I haven't done anything at WOT, but them I seldom have a need for that so I really can't say anything about the power side of it.

Oh, and my pinched nerve seems to have cured itself. I think it had something to do with the referral to the pain management specialist. He was going to give me a series of epidurals. Sounded like the cure was worse than the disease. I rode 1300 miles last week (BMW) and it didn't give me a bit of trouble.

There are four oil return holes on each side that are 3mm ø.

There are no oil holes in the pin boss.

Great photos of he piston ! I have been trying to see if they have 2 compression rings as the standard advert photos in Oz show only 1....One other thing I have found is that the pistons are advertised as fitting a 87 to 07 .. the Australian distributors are telling me they can't confirm if they fit an 08 ... I'd be surprised if they don't.....please put me out of my misery and tell me I'm right !
