We took the KLR, the KTM, and my buddy’s DRZ400 out to Cowiche Canyon this evening. Got in about 50mi of riding door-to-door, about 30 of it on dirt

we both have HWK gear and we love it. It’s comfortable, durable, and you can’t beat the price point.

This Tengai is not mine. Took the pic last week when I had to go down to the old Ford asy plant some of which is currently being torn down. Did not get as good a look at it as I would have liked as it was raining & the guy's I was with were not bike guy's. It looked like it is no garage queen but a well used bike. I don't usually see that many KLR's around so thought it was worth a picture.

THAT is Not an Actual Tengai, sorry to say.

It is a Gen 2 with a lowered F.fender and painted to resemble an early '90s Tengai. But Beautifully Done!
It did fool you & has fooled others.

Thanks for pointing that out. I have never seen a genuine Tengai in person. I knew front rotor & caliper were not gen 1 & there was this niggle in the back of my mind about the swingarm.

150 Mile trip today to the Columbia River.

I was doing some testing for a up comming Road trip this summer, I had 45# of water and junk split
between the two Pannier's and #15 or so in the Tank Panniers it handled great.
I stopped at a scale on the way home, Rider and loaded Bike were 800# on the mark. I guess I need to drill
some holes in my Tooth Brush Handle to help shave off some weight.
Do you like the tank panniers?

And you thought the camo paint job actually worked. Check out my stealthy KLR on a short ride yesterday.

Here is a pic of my phones emoji of a motorcycle 🏍.... it’s a KLR! Also included is a shot taken recently that deserves a place in this cool thread. Everyone’s bikes look pretty damn good that are showing up here and I will throw my gen 1 in here with all the others haha 👍

78 and sunny today so I ditched work early and rode west along the Illinois River until I got hungry. Think I'll do the wings and the boom boom shrimp.

Oh it’s a tractor for sure haha and just goes up anything I point it at! I am so fortunate to have one of the best SVRAs in Cali to putt over to.
