I have an opportunity to buy a clean looking 1987 KLR with 4000 miles. Since this was the first year for the KLR, are there issues that were later remedied? Should I stay away from it? Help.

Thanks, Steve

That is low miles for the year. What kind of shape is it in? What price? I think the doohickey is the only thing that needs upgraded and that is true even with the new ones.

I have only seen pictures so far, so I am a little skeptical but the photos look good. It has approx 4000 miles and he is asking $2100.

Cheap is a relative term. It means something entirely different to my wife than it does to you and I. I just bought a new Triumph Bonneville and two new bikes is pushing it a little. :18:
