Well since I got no responce from askin about this seat I decided to take a chance and buy it, its cost including tax 201.00, I was close enough to take a nice roadtrip after work to the warehouse where they sell this seat, was pleasantly surprised by the service and help I recieved from the the owner manager Raberta, when I was in the process of installin the seat for the trip back home I found out that the stock took kit does not have the tools needed to take the seat off, was unhappy to say the least, but Raberta came to my rescue and had me follow her back to her place where she had everything to get it done, the trip back was a bit colder then expected which was my only discomfort, the seat allows for both feet on the ground at a stop light , will do a more involved test of seat this weekend, but even if I have to but an alaska leather or someother form of pad for it the seat will still be a hellaofa lot better value then all others out there, Raberta I thank you and my butt thanks you, will be doing more bussiness with you soon. www.klr650.com
I understand. Do you have a picture of it on the bike? I am really interested in doing something as I did a 275 mile ride last week and I had monket butt so bad when I got home and I had put my Alaskan seat cover on and it helped soem but not enough. Dose the seat fit nice and close like the stocker?
I put one on a week ago, and really like the slight lowering: feels like I'm in the bike now, not on top. I sit a bit more forward, which changed the relationship to the control pedals, and that took some getting used to, as did the changed relative height of the bars.
The only objection I have is that the narrower and more forward butt position puts a little more forward weight on the family jewels, so I have to adjust my pants and package to avoid a wedgie in the worst place.
I like it. And an added benefit is losing the huge Kawa logo on the stocker, as well as the wider and lower passenger position.
Yea , I am finding that I allso ride a bit more directly on that area, allthough I can skoot back a bit and its no problem, I am makin it a point to sit in that spot so as to wear that area in , when I get the highways pegs from what I have learned this last weekend that issue will be gone completely, sat on her for 5 hours this last saturday and watched my brother have to do the standup un numb but thingy, I was like "that poor soul"...
