Welcome to the forum...

Can you bring that shop a little closer to the east coast?

Hey! Welcome aboard. From where did you move? (My english prof. would be so happy! I didn't end that in a preposition like I wanted to.......dang.) I've lived in both states. I end up in Hood River alot. I have family in that area.

Ahhh... the islands. Yeah, the old Olympic Peninsula rain shadow doesn't quite reach that far. Glad you found a spot you like!

Again, welcome,
I took a trip over there this summer. Spent the night in Anacortes, then the next day, ferried over to San Jaun, then to Orcas, where we spent the night. Didn't see a drop of rain the whole time. 8)

Welcome rmsklr! Now we need to convince you to host a Tech Day. Central Oregon would be somewhere near Bend. Good summer weather and excellent ridng. Am I correct? Good to see you escaped the rain.

I have indicated in the past that I would be glad to do a tech day. Have a complete 1600 sq. ft. shop with all the goodies and heat. Just let me know when and I will work it out. LaPine is 30 miles south of Bend.

Excellent! When is up to you and possibly the others. There are other KLR riders at other forums where you could also advertise. How ids the weather in La Pine? When do you think would be a good time? We can help you with the elements and organization of a Central Oregon (La Pine) Tech Day and try and get some of the Tech Day Elders to make the trip. Looks like 400+ miles for me with a Crater Lake passby. There is a KLR rider in Klamath Falls. We worked together at the Redding Tech & Adventure Days. Damn I wish the weather was warmer. That would be a great 4-day trip with a ride around Crater Lake, etc. How many KLR riders are in your area? Check the othr forum for the numbers and interest and I am sure we can make it happen. 'notmeofficer' (Redding) would be an excellent resource for hosting a Tech Day. PM me your information and I will do an introduction email.

Tim, Crater Lake is a great ride, did it several times this year. To ride it now would be cold, wet and snowy.
Rmsklr, I am 108 miles South of you in Klamath Falls, pick a time and I will try and make it.
Hear are a couple of photos from June 11th of this year. The rim drive and camp grounds were still closed.
