The title asks it all. What other bike or bikes do you run with? I have a 2021 Ural sidecar rig. It’s unique enough in its own right. But every time my mind wonders I keep getting stuck on “But my KLR already does that.” Does it do it as well? Probably not, but it does it good enough - and in real comfort - that I’m always nah. I could see a heavy touring bike, like a wing or a big GS, or a small dual sport which is admittedly a lot easier off-road. Just wondering how others round out the stable.

Im running a 1200GSA as my other Bike. I love it for longer trips or when I want to do hooligan things.

The worst part is this isn't all of them.
And no, I'm not a hoarder, I do sell bikes as well, just not as many as I buy.
Really nice Guzzi. There was a time long long ago in a land far far away when I wanted a GSXR1100. When I first saw one, I had to go to the bathroom to clean up.

I'm feeling better about how many motors I own the longer this thread continues. 🤣

See KBear, not alone at all, Mikeyvet got some awesome bikes.

Holy Snike...a CB400 FOUR super-sport...well done sir.
It looks "cherry" too. drool....
Makes me happy to see someone keep the older iron in such fantastic shape and well loved.

I see by your name (flag) you hail from down under or Kiwi..sorry my eyes can't pick out the specifics of little pics so well anymore.
That Suzuki RG (two or three cyl?) two stroke is very nice...We had a two stroke triple in the states way back when (70s) and it was water cooled.
Here a www photo of one

The GT750..

Not familiar with the RG 2 stroke..the styling looks 80s to me...with some aftermarket chambers maybe?
Of course, the most sought after are the H1 Kawa 2 stroke triples...the 500 cc being a holy grail sorta find...they are still around but command big bucks..for restored or nu-restored in good shape..
But the sazooks are also sought after as (here) they are pretty rare...never seen one irl..just mags or videos...but from what I have read, they were very smooth, balanced and "handled" great....I would love to own just about any two stroke these days....but the RD Yamaha, DT1 Yamaha, aforementioned H1 Kawa and even a nice Hodaka Super Rat are always on my radar...just most found are out of the budget..

The Ural !! What a kick that is. I’ve only ever looked one over and all its odd engineering. A good friends son and daughter rode one in the 2020 Barstow to Vegas race and became the first Ural team to ever finish the race (with lots of blood, sweat, and tie wraps)

Dread, that is one sweet looking VFR, wow, I can tell she has gotten the love. Nice.

Revillee, super nice V Strom, also showing much love. very clean if recent pic. How many miles on her?

I ride with some "Strom Troopers" often, they have the so called Wee stroms... 650s...and they will just walk away from the KLR...on the asphalt...also the NC700 another mid torque bike...slow revver upper..
Both love their stroms...yours looks like an exceptional example...very nice indeed, you are selling her?
I came within a gnat's *** of getting the street version of the strom..NV is it? Saw a great one on cycle trader...so many bikes so little time right?

My only "SAZOOK" ever owned was my first bike beyond my mini trail z50...71 or 72...Suzuki TS125 Duster...which while had all the lights ..got "field stripped" of those pretty fast. As in, busted off crashing...so it became a dirt bike..so to speak...

it looked like this one found on www...same color...man I loved that darn thing...it got abused by my learning curve but never let me down...wheelie practice...I wanted to BE Doug Domokos and or Malcom Smith..and in my 14 yo brain..I was..cept..was not in reality...so she took some hits on the wheelie practice crashes and jumping...and power sliding and high siding and low siding ahahha

Awesome...I saw DD at a super-cross in San Diego...Jack Murphy Stadium (sounds right)...when I was stationed out there....

..this the days of Jeff Ward, Ricky Johnson and that whole crew / gen of riders.
Anyway, I THINK it was Larry Huffman the MC announcer...warmed up the crowd..and said DD was going to attempt to wheelie the entire course!

He (DD) did some grandstand wheelies carrying OLD GLORY in one hand..we all went crazy cheering, it was a sight.
So then he takes off on the back wheel of course and starts going around the course, up hill, DOWN hill, around corners.
He bobbled and the front wheel came down...HE STARTS OVER from the START line having made it almost half way...

somewhere along the way, it happened again, it looked like the ripple / stutter whoops were giving him issue, at that section..he rides back and STARTS again from the starting line..we all are thinking 3rd time the charm..

Anyways, his third attempt..he made it almost all the way but the front came down... .you have seen SX / MX tracks...to even get 3/4 or whatever..ASTOUNDING..many were cheering..but I was sad that many were BOOING him..yeah, that really made my blood boil...but for me, it was the one and only time I got to see him on a bike doing incredible stuff..

Glad you got to see him!

Booing Doug Domokos??? Are you serious!? Doug was great! Before his illness, Doug was planning to wheelie across the entire United States! WHen I saw him he was using a Kawasaki KX250 and I loved every moment of it!

Torquey,
I had forgotten that wheelie across America plan thing...wow, one can only imagine. THAT would have been insanely awesome. He (Doug Domokos) was a rare talent indeed.
And, from everything I have read, just and amazing person as well. Like a down to earth guy.

Norton 850,
That is a sweet looking Guzzi...always wanted a Guzzi (and half a thousand other bikes).

just picked up a 2015 DL 650 aka V Strom aka Wee Strom..last week....have not ridden as yet ... gotta pay the piper on TTL Tax fees...that and nursing an injury...always something...
add to the current "up and ready" bikes...Honda Monkey, Kawasaki z900RS Cafe, 390 Duke, Honda NC700X, Gen 2 KLR...my KLX250SF is on the stand, waiting on the Bill Blue kit..prob my winter project..other projects scattered about..was shopping for a KLX300..found one, rare in my area with dealer shortages...they must know they are hard to get now (here at least....WELL over 7k$..will wait or find a lightly used one with luck...with the wee purchase..that will have to be next year...so many bikes so little time as they say...

i think every rider needs at least 3; here's my small, medium & large!

'05 xt225, '00 klr650 & '01 cbr1100xx. blackbird was the most expensive, paid $2900 several years ago when it had about 34k miles, now at about 65k.

The only pers
I thought about it. But what would I do if the KLR broke? Crash? Stolen? In back of my mind I'm keeping the VStrom as a "back up" bike. Sounds dumb but that's why.
The only person that would sound 'dumb' to is your financial advisor (and maybe your wife - might both be the same person). Everyone else from your therapist on down would view it as the only sensible plan.
