Funny thing happened when I installed the OEM auxiliary lights. During disassembly, several (just under half) of the fasteners on the fairing were found to be loose/barely tight. The good thing is, they all had to come off to install the lights. When it all went back together, the grommets all got a dab of dielectric lube and the bolts all got tightened to snug enough instead of barely snug (I know, it's a fine line). The moral of the story is that the insanely annoying squeak is gone and can see and be seen at night.
