I'm very excited to have a KLR again after totalling my last one in Downiville this last July.........I hail from Auburn and I have a lot to do this bike......I got an 05 with 3700 miles for $2200, nothing done to it, makes a clank clank in second (hope that is a chain issue), the guy had a wrong pipe on it cause it hit the tire but that's ok cause I took most of my aftermarket parts off my 04 KLR (pipe already swipped out)...........So I'm officially back in the KLR arena....It feels good.............

Peace
Ricky

P.S. My daughter is excited cause she likes to ride two up with daddy......She can't ride on my XR400 plated so now she's happy and so am I.

Congrats on the great deal you got. Did you hold a gun on the guy? because you stole that bike.

She's only 8 years old and she can hold her own on the soccer (watch out this girl is Italian/Irish) field but I haven't been able to get her to practice riding her bike so that she can get a motorcycle,,,,,,,so she rides with dad.

Daddyjoe Congrats on the great deal you got. Did you hold a gun on the guy? because you stole that bike.

Yeah, Great deal..........The guy put it up for 2700 on craigs list and I had to drive all the way to Carson Valley NV, just below Mt Rose, he lived at 6500 feet in wealthy neighborhood............The guy was selling the bike because: 1) He's retiring at 50 as a software engineer for cell phones and is going to travel the US and then New Zealand.....2) the bike is too big to put on his little motorhome.

So I rode the bike and it made a horrible clanking in 2nd gear........So I said to the guy that it's most likely the chain, doohicky, or transmission and that it made me a little nervous........I told him that I didn't want to haggle. That 2700 is a good price if it didn't make all that noise. So, he told me to make him an offer and I said I didn't want play haggle and told him to offer me a price and if this helps you think about it, I'm a poor social worker. He responded by offering 2200 and no worries about whatever is wrong with the bike that I'll handle it...........
BTW the bike was originally purchase in Cali so I shouldn't have any problems registering it with 3700 miles.
Peace
