I've had my 2022 since April and have put over 5000km (3100miles) on it. So far, for my style of riding I've loved it. Sure I'd like a little more power and less vibration, but it's a KLR and it is what it is. My biggest complaint is the seat, while initially it feels good for the first hour or so, then slowly the foam compacts and the vibrations come through. Before I bought the bike most journalists praised the stock seat as one of the best, but my arse begs to differ. The big problem for me is the slight forward slope to the seat that puts more pressure on my tailbone and slowly rides my shorts up into wedgie territory. On past bikes I've pulled back the seat cover and taken a carving knife to the foam below, but damn the 2022 seat looks so good I don't want to butcher it. So at this point I'm looking to add some kind of seat pad, or sheepskin cover that will hopefully make things better. I've looked at Air Hawks and the Chinese knock off's, but without spending $$$ on Corbin or Seat Concepts has anyone found an easy DIY mod to that can keep our butts happy after 7 hours in the saddle??
