I have a 2011 KLR 650,I put on a DG after market slip on muffler today, and it sounds awsome, I didn't go for a ride, just started it up. I assume I will need to put in a larger jet in carb? This is my first KLR, and I don't know the stock jet size, what size jet should I go up to? I'm keeping my stock air cleaner for now, Can I do the jet change myself? or should I have a shop do it? Will the carb need to come off to change the jet? does the carb have one or two jets? If two do I need to change both? Is there a kit I can get that will give me all I need?:35a:

Hi wvstumpjumper
First the carb has to come off, it is not to hard to do, if you want a little help there are videos on YouTube there will show you how, and that goes for the jetting to.
When I did my carb I got a dynojet kit, it has everything you need, and good instruction.
The dynojet kit will cost you around 50$, you can do it cheaper, but then you need to know what jet to put in for your elevation, the kit has several jets in it.
