Got two friends together and wife as pillion
Weekend ride
First sight of gravel

Riding into thick fog, cold and wet

Breaking through it, nice sunny day above it

Sightseeing, maybe we can spot some elephants?

Indeed

On the road again

Did some geocaching on this trip
One was hidden at the old slave bell - got it

The beginning of the gravel, some deflating of the tyres

That's what we came for

Picking up a friends lost top box, always welcome

Day two, ready to head back home
Light breakfast to start

Packed and ready to go

Looking back to from where we came through the previous day

Decisions, decisions, decisions, what road to take?

Some people must make their mark like a dog, to prove something

Their journey at an end, no more travels for them

Destination ahead

Wildlife

Crossing Nieuwoudts pass

Wind blowing up dust where we just went over the pass, looking back

Again the wind picking up and blowing up dust

Driving through these dust patches creates a vacuum and feels quite strange, all quiet and no wind at all

Crossing Piekenierskloof pass, and the canola fields appearing

Turned off the road to a small village, Eendekuil

Only the name of the station remains, buildings long gone

Canola fields quite beautiful this time of the year

Table Mountain in the distance, heading home and the end of another wonderful trip
