Plenty of times I am riding down the road or trail. I need to know the time.
In the past I have just mounted a wrist watch with velcro. My eyes are getting worse, so it was time for a purpose built piece.
I wanted to mount it off an existing bolt in behind the fairing.
A pattern was cut out based on the $6.99, clock I bought at OReilly auto parts store. The cardboard pattern was transferred to a piece of aluminum sheet. I used a jigsaw to cut it out.

The new piece was put in a vice, and bent to shape.

I had a longer bolt that replaced the stock fairing bolt, and a nylock nut to secure the bracket.

I had to re-bend it in the vice until it cleared the cluster when I turned the bars. (I originally had planned on mounting it on the left side but didn't have enough clearance)

I had to drill a hole in the bracket for the bolt.
I had the aluminum, it came with velcro. I had the bolt and nut.
Total cost: the price of the clock, $6.99

Clock Mount

Good Evening Ratz,

Happy New year! This is inspirational! I like the simplicity and the function. I would like to use this with your blessing.

Thank you.
Go right ahead.

I was thinking about a longer one that mounts on both sides, to mount other things. idiot lights, or toggle light switch....
