So we got a great weather weekend and all got together and took a ride. Day started off with coffee and carb tuning on one of the drz's that wouldn't idle. Our group consisted of a drz 400 supermoto, a drz 400, a klx 650, a ninja 500, a Honda vtx 1800 and me on my klr. Now both drz's have full yoshimira pipes and 650 carbs and the vtx has a set of pipes, and I put my pipe on the night before so we weren't very inconspicuous. But we headed off with the intentions of getting to Chautauqua Lake. After about 30 miles of riding past the 40 miles it usually takes to get there we stopped and checked the gps, got our bearings and headed to the lake. The lake was still frozen so it was about 10 degrees colder and a little windy. Stopped checked out some views, gassed up and headed out on towards Jamestown. Cruised around in Jamestown a little since none of us knew the roads around there and eventually saw a restaurant and stopped for lunch. After eating we took some roads we knew home. Reaching Gowanda we parted with the vtx, ninja and the klx and the drz's and I took some of the "less maintained" roads home. All in all a very fun day screwing around, hitting some twisty roads and getting to know my klr. It was somewhat of a shorter ride but it was fun to get back out with some friends and ride.

Food stop...
