I read in the Clymer that there should be 1mm of the fork tube extending above the top clamp. Mine is flush with the top clamp so I guess I should fix this - need to adjust the head bearing anyway. Question is - to adjust the amount the fork extends, do I have to loosen both the upper and lower clamps at the same time? Did I do any damage by having the incorrect spacing (doubt it, but thought I would ask).
