14T enhances low speed torque, makes the sprocket driven speedometer read Higher yet at all actual speeds. Makes the engine rpms TOO High for sustained Interstate highway runs. Better for rougher routes.
15T is the best all around compromise.
16T reduces engine rpms & available Torque at all actual road speeds, makes the sprocket driven speedometer almost exactly accurate. Better for mostly highway travel.

What he said. You have to determine where you want better efficiency, Off-road or On-road. As stated, the stock 15T is a compromise between the two. It works well enough Off-road but you increase about 500 RPMs at hwy speed over a 16T

Love the 16T for highway riding. Cruises at 80 like nothing. The Gen 2 speedo is not affected, as it’s driven by the front wheel (maybe Gen 1 also?). I ran a 14 for a while and it’s fun for off road, but don’t plan on any long trips😉
