Okay. I am not so new at motorcycling, but I am new to working on the bike. My front wheel has developed some play in the bearings. I noticed it when I was riding on a smooth road & the front end felt like there was washboarding on the road.

The assembly of the front hub looks pretty straight forward, but I just want to make sure I
1: Get all the parts I am likely to need before I start on the job.
2: Don't damage anything else in the process.

Will I just need to buy the bearings, or should I invest in a new axle as well? Should I get a new collar? Should I go all the way & get a new axle?

If anyone has a manual for a pre-'08 that they'd like to sell, please drop me a note.
