Sold: 2000 KLR 685 in MI

KLR is at 35,916 miles, with about 15,000 on a 685.

Pre-96 bottom end with shorter gearing. I love it for that. doohickey is done.

Ricor Intiminators front
Elka Rear Shock
Skid Plate
Stainless Brake Lines
Big brake kit
Moose Luggage rack with pelican knockoffs (top box not mounted)
7 Gallon tank
All newer black plastics with new front turns and LED rear.
LED lights mounted under headlight
New delkevic exhaust
New stator
ProTaper KX high bars
Seat concepts seat
Chain and sprockets have ~2000 miles

Most of the stock parts and any filters or KLR specific parts will be included as well. I'm sure there are things I've forgotten. I'll also include all scratches and scrapes that come from 10+ years of riding with @cherokee_chuck

I'm looking to start around $3000 but I am open to reasonable offers.

I tried to knock the ugly off, but, it's a KLR.

The only reason to sell is the fact that I have a DRZ that is much more suited for the riding I prefer now and my son has shown no interest. I would hop on this bike to go anywhere.

I'm in MI, but might deliver within a few hours for the right price. The Tenere is up on the block as well.

Nice 685, what you asking for the tenere?
Thanks, it's taken a couple of years to decide to actually sell it. It's a great bike, but it's just sitting too much now.

As far as the Tenere:

35,000 miles
Fresh Mitas E-07
Carbon fiber side panels, heat shield, frame filler
Cogent Dynamics rear shock
Seat concepts seat front and matching pillion cover.
SW motech luggage rack can include boxes for the right price.
Givi Mono-key tail rack and 52 liter box for right price
Multiple windshields with adjustable mount.
Skid plate
Front fork guards

Most of the stock parts and filters will come with the bike as well.

I'm starting at $6500 on that one and taking offers.

It’s sold as of yesterday. I think I’m a little bit sad.

Verboten1 Congratulations & commiserations on the sale of your bike.
A quick question about your Delkevic exhaust. They seem to be a reasonable quality / value option. They have several options for KLR can you tell which one you got.
I am wanting to make sure the Dunlop D606 wont rub & I also don't want the bike too loud, but would not mind loosing some of the weight of the OEM exhaust.

This is the 14” oval, I have the same exhaust on my Tenere as well. It’s much louder on the KLR, but I’m not sure if they have different inserts. I would go with a longer one for the thumper.

I have had it on the Tenere for 4-5 years and it’s held up well.

Thanks, will think about the 18" oval then.
My riding buddies just got Delkevic mufflers for their Africa twins, one of them has the shorter one it is quite loud at idle but does not seem too bad at speed.
Shame the website does not give a little more info, even if they were to just quote dB difference between options it would be something.
