So my VIN is in the recall but the pump isn’t, with the last three digits LD7 not in the “bad” list. How do I register the bike as “good”? Or only the dealer can do it?

Thanks for all the info regarding the recall. I called my dealer today and got them press ion they hadn’t heard about it yet. They are doing research and will call back when they know something. Won’t they be surprised when I tell them the pump part number and that it needs o be replaced.

Thanks again it is what makes this forum so useful. Not thrilled with being in the recall but glad to have the correct information at my disposal to deal with the service department.

Well my VIN was in the mix and I just checked under the seat and sure enough I'm in the bad batch pile. I don't care one way or the other. I don't have a problem with dealers or mechanics, my bummer is I leave tomorrow for a 4 day Adventure Rally in my home state of SC! I just hope it keeps working for the next week LOL until I get back and can have it sorted. Fingers crossed and hands folded in prayer! LOL

That’s interesting. I’m in Canada and my VINs not recalled yet, although Transport Canada is typically slower to respond than it’s US partner. I have an LD7 as well, purchased May 2022. I’m curious, are you in Canada and when was your purchase date?

LFP aka "OH crap!" Taking it in tomorrow so they can take a pic to make it official and put me on the waiting list.
You should be able to send them a picture of the fuel pump #.
Saves both you & them wasted time.

I was on Quantums site yesterday. Didn't list one for the KLR. Will the one you posted be an exact swap with the OEM 49040-07099 ? Tried looking for another bike that used the same pump but different model so as to attempt cross reference that way

You don't understand how stupid corporate is about warranty work like this lol.
My '21 Jeep has a current service campaign for work I already have done under warranty. Chrysler won't accept the receipt I have as proof, they want the dealer to do the work all over again, for a problem that no longer exists on my vehicle.
