My old Nuvi 755 quit yesterday.
I'm looking for another Nuvi that I can create my custom turn-by-turn routes on Base Camp, and load them onto the Nuvi.
Most current models don't seem to be able to use custom routes.
I'm in the market for a new GPS myself. One of Linda's (my Zumo 550) rubber buttons fell off the other day and I have to use a pencil to turn her on and off. I lovingly call her Linda, Linda Blair because that bitch is possessed at times ...
I have a Zumo 660 that is still working fine, so I don't have any experience with the following suggestion.
I've seen more and more off-road oriented motorcycle videos using a Garmin Montana GPS unit. Since I no longer need my GPS for primary street riding (built into new bike), I may look into a Montana unit when/if my 660 stops working.
I am happy with the 600. Don't need or want to take photos with it. Works good in the sun light and the dark. Waterproof. Lots of memory for drawing and saving tracks. Touch screen works fine with gloves. Has a rechargeable battery and will also accept three AA batteries. I got the handlebar mount cradle that holds it firmly and provides 12 volt power for operation and battery charging.
