Mine melted too. The previous owned apparently loosened the muffler clamp when he was installing his crash bars then forgot to tighten it back up. There were a couple of holes on the clean side too. Good thing I was not doing any dirt at the time.

Good luck finding a new one as they are on backorder.

I found one in excellent shape on ebay. Think it ended up being around $55 shipped.

Hmmm; on the dirty side it doesn't matter but on the clean side it certainly does.

Ebay is the best source for a replacement and before you install it, consider adding a better heat shield - check out this excellent link from Tom; Post Page

I second crafting a larger heat shield than the stocker. I did and now sleep better at night!
