Hey all
Just brought home a 2013 KLR the other day. This Forum looks great, a ton of information to browse. Have had a few different sport bikes in the garage but this KLR certainly is a different beast. Looking forward to adventure rides with tarmac and dirt. Here comes the learning curve!! 馃榿

Its been around since the prehistoric age. The KLR is a tractor in its own right. The engine has been proven over and over to be incredibly reliable due to its simplicity. Nice to have EFI unless your in the middle of no-where and have to hike out.
That new Tenere 700 is really nice, the Sv 650 is ok, but for true adventure bike Simple beats the Cadillac.馃憤

Yep, the KLR is a simple beast that can be worked on in the middle of nowhere.

Hey thank you Campfire, yes excited to get out. The bike is a 13, just been finishing up the basic maintenance oil/f, chain/alignment, replaced fork oil-completed inspection of the fork tubes and greased and torqued. Same time building a little tool kit, didn't come with one.
