Saying HI!! from Southern Colorado. Snow in the mountains , rain in the valleys right now, makes the morning commute a little wet (18 miles each way) . I am new to motorcyles (06 klr bought in July, MSF Aug. 1) but spent many years riding mountain bikes. I always wanted a motorcyle and for my 34th birthday my wife said no time like the present. I have three kids: Ethan 7, Emma 5, Ellenor 1.5 and another on the way in April. To pay the bills I run a physcians practice. I added on to the house this year, so I have not spent much time getting the full Dual Purpose experience. As a family we spending alot time camping and playing kiddy sports. I love to hunt and fish and have been blessed with a son and daughter who want to be just like dad... dads you know what this means... more toys
. I am a traditional bow hunter( not Howard Hill style, but more modern reflex/deflex), so yes the kids both have long bows. Ethan can also throw a pretty tight loop with my 3 wt. Scott flyrod, he thinks he needs his own "pretty rod" now. Here is a pick of the bike on the way home from the dealership. I will also enclose a pick of the family on a trip to Grants Pass to visit my family last year... By the way I grew up in Grants Pass and moved to Durango in 1993 to finish college and a buck we found in behind our house last fall.
Thanks for the great site. And would love to get together to change the dreaded doo, give Lucy a tune up and go for some great rides and yes I always carry my flyrod cause there is always a great stream that needs to be fished and forged...
