Worked a thirteen hour day on Th (woohoo) and rode in the dark for the first time in a long time. All the gauges were black. Doh. So, I've been reading a little. LED vs stock vs whatever.

Just soliciting opinions. What's the best (CHEAP) option here. And tips from someone who has done it are much appreciated.

Thanks!

Yeah. Bulbs. I think. I don't speak electricity, but the neutral light and signals and high beam indicator work. I think I just need to replace the "top" bulbs for the gauges. I'm debating on the LED/OEM vs cheap one's I haven't seen yet, etc...

Hoping someone knows of a good hook up.

I'm a big fan of LEDs; efficient, bright, and long lasting. But the last time I shopped for dashboard lights, the dime per incandescent won over few-dollars per LED.

That's changing. My favorite LED bulb retailer now has lots of small LED bulbs at a half-dollar. I don't know what bulb the second gen takes so I didn't look at specific bulbs for you.

One complication is that there are probably different brightnesses available.

I didn't see any LEds for instrument lighting on their site.
Do they have any for the instrument panel?

You can replace em all as far as I know. I've been meaning to report back. The amber LEDs are really nice. Just the gauges, but just the right amount of light (not BRIGHT).
