Aloha, new to riding motorcycles (actually I don't have one yet) but I've been riding sport ATV's for quite a few years now.. Working in the oil industry in North Dakota with it's plethora of dirt roads, if I want a bike, I need one that I can do both dirt/gravel and pavement. The KLR 650, from all my research seems to be the "cats meow" as far as dual sport motorcycles go, especially for what I want, something that I can ride long distances and still go off roading..

Thanks

Hi Rex, and welcome to the forum!

The KLR would do you pretty well. Put a good seat on it and you can run the Hi-Line all the way to Havre for lunch. It will do just fine running the farm roads around the Yellowstone and the Missouri, too.

I had to throw that local stuff in... born and raised in Sidney.
