Hurricane talked me into a little road trip down to Cedar Key, FL then over to meet some friends in the middle part of the state.
We met for breakfast 6:00am CST Monday morning. We left shortly after that.

Hurricane had to stop by the Dollar Store to buy a folding chair

Rolling into Cedar Key

We wandered around a little before lunch

We decided to eat lunch at Frog’s.

I had Grouper Fingers, Pasta Salad & Cole Slaw. Mmmmmm……

After a quick check on the bikes,

We needed to walk off all the great food & see the sights

Hurricane gave me a tour of the airport.

He shared some great stories about the many times of landing here.

Back on the road. Next destination, Marty’s neck of the woods.

We arrived at Clearwater in plenty of time to set up camp before dark.

The next morning, Marty & Fireplug met Bugshield, Hurricane & I at the Mason Jar for breakfast.
From there, we hit the dirt or I guess I should say sand in this case…….

Bugshield’s Ant Farm starter set

See what happens when you try to run over the “Mighty KLR”

Here is the whole thing

Fireplug was riding Marty’s KLR for this ride. Maybe he will chime in to tell you why.
Before you ask, No, his did not die. He had a small oil leak around the shifter.
He has 78-79K on his KLR650 for the ones that know him.

I told Bugshield that his bike looked way too clean

The two old men on the hill are watching us kids play in the pit

Marty & Fireplug both had family & friends coming by that afternoon & Bugshield needed to start heading home.

Hurricane & I decide to ride over to Daytona that afternoon
I proudly rode Main St loop with a muddy bike. No posers here

We stopped by the Beemer shop

We were meeting my cousin & his family for supper in Deland. We a little time to kill so we stopped here to rest & to check in with our wives back at home

I was trying to nurse my front, very cupped TKC 80 until just before Tellico but this unplanned, last minute trip really finished it off. It was so bad, I was getting worried it was not going to last the trip. The tire has 9,000+/- miles on it I ordered a set just before we left home. I should have them in a day or two.

Here are a couple more campsite pictures

I made it home late yesterday afternoon. We had a Blast
