Hi everyone, I have been reading a lot on here about upgrading exhaust; I still do not have a solid grip on the "JETTING" side of it. So I get a new aftermarket exhaust, and if its a slip on the I don't have to change the header right? Do I NEED to "JET" if I get a new slip on exhaust?

My KLR650 is a 2015 and I just don't care for the current exhaust...if it was YOUR 2015 KLR650 with 300 miles, what would you do with the exhaust and why?

You don't HAVE to rejet with an aftermarket muffler, but I would highly rec doing the .22 mod if you do the frugal exhaust mod or if you install a new muffler.
I installed the LEXX muffler onto the stock header. She is still working great!

Stock jetting is fine.
The EPA tests at idle and cruise. This means turning out the idle mixture screw
a half turn, and raising the metering needle (.22 mod) with one or two #4 brass washers.

I did those two things and cored the stock muffler. Stock modified is the theme the Cheapster
follows.
