I have about 1/8” of play in it as it sets cold without being tightened down.

However if I push on it with some force in the right direction I feel the spring pull strongly.

(I just took the cover off to check. If it’s good I’d rather drive the rest of the year before having to pull everything else apart, But if it’s shot I’d rather not have to replace more parts when it fails completely. i’m sure y’all understand.)

Thanks in advance

A doohickey replace only takes a couple hours. Do it now and then you can ride in peace and tranquillity.

Decided to give up high speed internet at home for a month because I was wasting too much time. Can just receive and send basic text and photo.
Your local library is your friend. They've got free internet. They'll also limit your time, making it less likely you'll sit there going down rabbit hole after rabbit hole, only to look up a couple hours later and think, "wow, wish I could have that time back!"
