So mine is loud.... at all RPM, I can hear it over dunlop 10/90 tires at highway speed

Its not the valves, they were redone... and rechecked, its 100% the KACR ticking away. hot or cold, low or high rpm

I don't seem to have power loss, it can reach 130 kph (pretty wound out at that point)

It opens up with little effort with a my fingers, Is this thing going to explode if just let it bang away? WTF is it hitting anyways?

At engine speeds of 800rpm & above, the KACR pin is retracted and does NOT touch anything.

If you don't see any rotational marks in the front, back or top of the valve cover and the forward lip of the gasket surface of the head, then the KACR flyweights are Not contacting anything and therefore not responsible for the noise that you are hearing.

May I suggest that your valve tappet clearance is possibly too loose? I've never found a metric feeler set in .025mm, only .050mm increments. So I suggest that one should use feelers marked in one thousands increments only for best accuracy.

Tappet clearances should NOT exceed .010inches on exhausts & .008inches on intakes. This is with SNUG fitment of thickest feeler, because we also need to lift the camshaft with the feeler to take up the bearing slack, especially on the RH end of the cams. Cam bearing clearance can be Plasti-Gauged to confirm not worn beyond normal, specs are .00079 - .0024 inches / .020 - .062 mm. Maximum camshaft bearing clearance is a very sloppy .0059inches / .15mm.

Or simply try one size thicker shim on both the RH intake & RH exhaust valves than what you currently have in the engine.

I have a metric feeler set (canada)

ive triple checked it now, valve shims are good, short of running the engine with the cover off to diagnose WTF the KACR is hitting , i'm not realy sure what to do.

If it's hitting the cam cover is it a big deal? that doesn't seem like a fixable problem anyways.

Sounds normal with max valve clearance + to my ears.

If you could not see any evidence of KACR contact with the cover or the head, it is NOT the KACR making the noise.

Slow your idle speed down until the KACR does make noise, then you will know what it sounds like.

Maybe replace your exhaust header gasket.

But I'll still suggest TOO Loose of tappet clearances.

I record tappet clearances as such,
< .009" / .009" / > .009"

I'll gladly take a < .010" on an exhaust tappet or a < .008" on an intake tappet. But one is better off changing to > .008" on an exhaust tappet than accepting a .010" or worse a > .010" and having a finicky customer whimper about 'tick, tick, ticking'.

I'd pull the VC and see if there is evidence of contact; if not then the KACR isn't your issue as Paul said. FYI, many people have removed the system entirely and most reports suggest minimal to zero consequences as a result thought there are a few that noted harder cold starts. Lots of reading on a Google search of the subject

The louder clatter that I hear as the revs increase on the video is possibly from the exhaust heat shield or reverberations from metal skid plate or crash bars, IMHO.

no crash bars on this bike lol.... just a lot of fiberglassing

If this seems normal then i'll keep riding, what's the worst that can happen lol?

valve clearance are on the tall side of things near max, exhaust is between .25 and .22 and intakes are between .16 and.20 which is good,i get max time before bang out of the valves, requiring re shimming.

I just didn't think they would be so noisy lol.
