Hi all.
I am another returner. Had a KZ 400 as a young man in Ohio. Waited 20-odd years and bought a crazy old scooter in NYC (a C70). Two years later (a month ago!), after alot of research and hand-wringing, I purchased an 05' KLR and have been having a ball. It seems like the perfect city bike and, while I'm not much of a hooligan anymore (two kids, married 10 years this weekend), I can still fool a few people with the (PO supplied) Jardine exhaust. (Saving lives with every ride!:wink
I'm grateful for the bank of information that you riders have created here and elsewhere. The wealth of knowledge available here and at .net and Advrider, to name just a few is amazing. I'm not an idiot (says me, my wife may disagree), but I'm not an experienced MC mechanic and you folks have already helped me immeasurably. I'll be asking more questions in the future, I'm sure.
My KLR came with HT nerf bars, acerbis hand guards, jardin slip on and not much else. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a NYC area tech day to get a little help with the doo.
Thanks
Frank
