Okay so what classifies me as a big guy? Well, 6'4" and 280lbs I guess. I am bigger than all the other guys I see on the trails and needed something that didn't make me look like a Dad riding his kids bike. The KLR is great for that. I sit like a normal person, even if I do flat foot it. For me the bike if capable of excepting so many modifications to accomidate diffrent types of riders and riding needs.
It is not hard to work on nor does it require a chest full of special tools. I have used mine for street rides over 200 miles and DS rides where we are hitting enduro trails. It has not disappointed me in it's abilities. What really makes it great is the fact that there is so much information on them. I am constantly running into other riders who have them and it always seems to result in a future riding partner. 1 to 10, 10 the best I give the KLR 650 a strong 8.
