So today I was in the middle of installing my KLX needle kit and ran into a problem. I can't find the brass collar that fits on top of the needle. I have no idea where it went...

Does anyone know a Kawasaki part number? I looked up KLX 450s and came up with 92152-0141 but thought I would see if anyone has an idea before I contact a dealer.

Found an older discussion where @pdwestman shared that the collar part number is 92143-1667.

I almost ordered two so I would find the original that much faster…

Won't help. You're not allowed to find the old one until:
A) The new one actually arrives, and
B) You've torn open the package.
Them's the rules. Don't blame me, I didn't write 'em.

For sure. Eagle Mike is awesome but I have found international shipping costs have gone up a bit and the time things take to get here vary quite a bit. That’s why I wend the local route.

The original kit was ordered from EM.

Got the new collar today and finished the install. I was very careful not to lose this one!

A little dab of grease to stick the brass collar onto the circlip & needle stem works Quite Well,
Same with any half-step shims one might install Under the circlip, IME.
