My '09 KLR has 485 miles on it, mostly dirt and 2 lane roads. The neutral indicator light sometime stays on, when the clutch is pulled in. It's and intermittant problem, and can stay on when the shifter is in any gear. When I let the clutch out, the light goes out. Any one else have this problem? I'm taking it in probably next week for the 600 mile warranty service and will mention it then, but I was wondering if this is a common problem.
Thanks,
Arnie

Pull your sprocket cover off. You will see some wires just in front of the sprocket. There will be a light green one connected to the neutral switch just below and in front of the sprocket. I would guess that this wire is rubbing on your chain. Mine was. Fix the wire, and then tuck it back with the other wires and seal with some silicon. That will fix the problem for good. Good Luck.
