Hey fellas, 51 years old (old as white dog poo poo). Grew up on trail bikes and then Harleys for the last 20 plus years. Purchased a 2015 that I pick up tomorrow from the dealership. Hopefully haven't lost the touch, we shall see. Wondering where yall get the forest service maps...especially the western NC region. Ridden all over the BRP, Pisgah, Great Smokies, Deals Gap, Nantahala etc....now it is time to see it from off road.:character00201:

Welcome.
I know you didn't ask, but the first thing I'd put on the bike is a Thermo-bob. Worth every penny. In short order you'll realize all the goodies the bike needs vs what you want to put on it.

Welcome GTown.

Your best bet to find the good trails is join group rides and dual sport groups in your area.

As for rides there's a 2016 South East Rally Calendar here that you may be interested in. Click below:

Many rides in the Smoky Mountain area. I'm signed up for the Roads & Trails Rally that'll be based at Iron Horse in Stecoah on April 8-10.

If you ever get to Florida, I'd be glad to show you around the sand pit. :smile2:
