Hey there. I’m joining because I just bought a 2018 camo in Ohio and am riding it home on route 2 back to California. Just put on an upper and lower dash, doohickey, chain, front tire and a 17t sprocket to get home. Looking forward to an adventure. Thanks for all the resources here.

Awesome! You'll have a great time doing the cross-country ride. Rode out to Iowa & back three years ago and had a blast.
BUT... Since you're doing it, please remember;
If you see a road that you wonder where it goes, find out where it goes.
If you see something worth taking a picture of, stop and take it.
Slab-O-Matic roads don't lead to great byways, small towns, and great little diners.
"Scenic Routes" are exactly that. Take them.
In one of those little diners, talk to the locals and get their story. (If you can afford it, buy a meal for a stranger)
Plan your trip to the point, that you think you know, when you might arrive in Oakland. Then add three days.
Keep a journal, or do a ride report for later.

Enjoy the ride.
