Hi there, I just picked up a 1993 project bike and could use some advice on the best place to get parts. Firstly I need a shift lever...that should allow me to ride and figure out what else I need. Any thoughts?
Many use aftermarket shifters, but at least stop in and
get the service manual. It has all the part numbers
down to every last bolt. Then when looking thru catalogs
and on the web, you'll know what you are looking for, or
when you see something you like, whether or not it will fit.
The when you see "Joe's Super Duper Titanium kickstand"
(look for replaces Part number such and such.)
Ebay and other owner self-sell sites should list what it fits.
Don't ask if it fits a KLR. Some will say yes just to make a sale.
Most won't, but it happens.
