Hello everyone.
I've had my 2010 KLR for about a month.
Bought it from a bike shop with under 2K miles on it...looked like new. A couple of scratches on the left fairing and handguard where it looks like the original owner dropped it.
So far I've put about 500 miles on it and totally love the bike.
I've ridden a HD Ultra Classic for the last 15 years and wanted something more nimble and found it in the KLR.
Being short, I found the bike pretty high - especially when backing it up so I ordered the Corbin Dual Platform seat rather than lowering links and I love it.
I had a Corbin seat on my Harley and it was firm but always comfortable.
For some storage I put a GivI 340 box on the back which suits my needs perfectly and sort of replaces the "beer box on the back of the HD.
I have a Madstad windshield and a couple of other goodies like a longer shifter and throttle boss on order, which will hopefully make the KLR more enjoyable for longer highway trips.
I'm really looking forward to enjoying some of the KLR's "dual purpose" capabilities and to contributing here in the forum.

Congrats on your new ride. I've only been on my KLR for about 15 months and to be honest... I love it. Still looking for a VMAX(Gen I) but nothing beats the KLR when I'm splitting traffic on the way to work and still able to hit the dirt when done. All the wider bikes get out of the way so I can pass by. I will say work hasn't permitted much dirt time but hoping new job will allow once I get settled a little more. We've got a few dual sporter riders at work, but I would like to find a local club here in San Gabriel Valley area of So Cal to meet up with and take a few rides with.
