hey guys, new here, ive had my 1985 KLR600 for a year or 2 now, and somehow managed to seize my engine :mad0235: so i took the head off and found the intake valves, i think the intakes are the bigger ones, were bent pretty badly. when my engine siezed it happen from a stop, felt like i stalled, but then i couldnt turn the engine manually or with the starter :18: so i think what happened is maybe the tensioner got weak over time and maybe caused the chain to skip a tooth? anyhow, i notice some impressions from the valves on the piston, does anyone know if this is an interferance head? i was thinking i should just put a new engine in it, but was thinkin what if i could put the KLR650 engine into it!!! well i would like some details if anyone has done this before. do i need a new harness? any new parts? do the connectors match? yada yada... appreciate all the help :cool:
